How did your business journey begin?

My journey started in 2012, when I realised I could automate the documentation process associated with the attainment of Green Star Ratings for commercial buildings and hence ‘Green Unity’ was founded. I was one of the first and youngest participants of the Accelerating Commercialisation programme in Western Australia.

It was an incredibly steep learning curve, requiring me to travel across to Melbourne and Sydney to liaise with potential partners, mentors, and industry stakeholders. This experience was formative and has led me down the digital business advisory path.

What are you working on at the moment?

Now, I am working at Business Station to help deliver the Digital Solutions | Australian Small Business Advisory Services which is a programme that offers Startups and Small Business access to free / heavily subsidised business support and advisory. The Digital Solutions programme is subsidised by the Commonwealth Government.

The best part of this programme for founders, is the ability to book 1-on-1 sessions with Advisors / Mentors either for free or at low cost. The service covers about 100 different micro-disciplines ranging from Marketing and Sales Strategy, to Business Development, Grants, Click Funnels, LinkedIn Strategy and General Strategy.

Check out Business Station’s database of advisors, you might find someone in our Advisory Network, who can help you with your current Small Business needs/challenges!

What do you love about being a part of the Spacecubed community?

I’ve been part of the Spacecubed community for several months now. I particularly enjoy hosting engaging events at Riff and attending events like their last Speed Networking event. We’re also looking forward to partnering with the Plus Eight accelerator to provide additional support a larger number of aspiring startup founders than ever before.

Can you share with us one of your favourite success stories?

I think my greatest success has been with partnering with great people, who share objectives for the innovation industry in Australia. Co-creating and co-delivering events and projects with captains of industry has be a great pleasure and has resulted in moving the entire ecosystem forward.

If you needed to, how have you adapted post COVID-19?

At the onset of COVID-19 I was living in the UK and Eastern Europe and so I literally had to pack up everything and fly back to Australia to escape. I was very fortunate to meet Agata Dharma & Mark South of Business Station in Subiaco, we immediately clicked and I was fortunate enough to be appointed as their Digital Business Advisor several months later.

In truth, I think acting early and escaping COVID-19 was the best decision of my life.
