We’re an ambitious team with a shared mission, to empower and support 1 million changemakers and entrepreneurs by 2030.
Our Story
Founded by Brodie McCulloch and Tom Tolchard, Spacecubed first launched in March 2012 at our original space on the Ground Floor of 45 St Georges Terrace in Perth. Since then, we have expanded to 6 spaces across Australia and have supported thousands of entrepreneurs through our programs, such as Plus Eight, She Codes and Meshpoints.Ā
Spacecubed Foundation was established to expand our impact from our coworking spaces and community programs, and continue our mission of supporting 1 million innovators and entrepreneurs by 2030.Ā
In July 2022, Spacecubed Foundation launched Meshpoints, supported by Lotterywest. This was a pivotal moment in our journey, enabling us to advance our impact by working with the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Supporting startups
In addition to our flexible coworking and office spaces, Spacecubed is dedicated to supporting startups through programs like the Plus Eight Accelerator. Launched in 2017, Plus Eight Accelerator has successfully nurtured eight cohorts, investing $3.7 million in local talent thanks to the support of our program partners. This investment has led to over $24 million in follow-on funding, resulting in a current portfolio valuation exceeding $150 million.
Supporting changemakers
The Innovative Society Initiative was launched in 2022 in partnership with Lotterywest, with the aim to create a pipeline of thriving resilient entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers, as well as build a thriving, resilient and sustainable innovation ecosystem.
