Geogeeks Perth Meetup: QGIS, TerriaJS, and more…
Join us for a free evening of short talks from members of our local open geospatial community. We’ll hear from a range of open source users, supporters and developers – the full open source life cycle! Come to learn something new, share ideas and gather some tips!
The talks will be followed by time to chat over drinks and pizza.
Our speakers are:
Nyall Dawson – our special guest for the evening! QGIS core developer.
Gabriel Diosan: Public money for public good (financially supporting QGIS at the organisation level)
Stafford Smith: TerriaMap – an introduction to setting up your own 3D spatial data explorer for the web
James Keating: Mapping bat roosts – slope and aspect modelling using DEMs in QGIS
Shane Delaney: SLYR plugin for QGIS
Please register so we can plan food and drinks – thanks!
Hosted by Geogeeks Perth (find us at Geogeeks Slack or email). Supported by OSGeo Oceania’s grant program and Spacecubed.
PS. The Riff front doors lock at 5:30 pm but we will have someone nearby to let you in. If you arrive and no one’s by the door please call 0412 267 802 or 0426 589 496, or message us on Slack and we’ll come let you in.
