Earlier today, Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade Alister Henskens announced Spacecubed as the operator for The Western Sydney Startup Hub, fit with 1,500 square metres of affordable coworking space in the revitalised Parramatta North Heritage Precinct.

“Technology and innovation are at the heart of attracting significant global investment in NSW, helping to create the jobs of the future for our next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in Western Sydney,” Mr Henskens said.

“Spacecubed offers the best and most diverse services for WSSH, ensuring a bright and competitive future for Western Sydney’s innovation and technology sectors."

With $300,000 in funding from the NSW Government for its fit-out, Spacecubed will become the hub’s first operational business when it opens in October, and will become the perfect suburban office alternative for individuals and small and growing teams alike.

The space, located in North Parramatta, is designed to maximise both space and light with specific features of the space including private spaces for 1 - 40 people, 24/7 access, and membership offerings spanning private offices, coworking and resident desks. Parking is also available, along with a selection of event spaces, meeting rooms, boardrooms, breakout spaces, and end of trip facilities including showers and a bike storage room.

In addition to the premium features and inclusions, WSSH members will have untapped access to the Australia-wide Spacecubed community. This includes an online platform to build your connections organically, an extensive member benefits library, including discounts on Stripe, Hubspot, AWS, and Google for Startups, as well as access to programs and events targeted at entrepreneurs through to Fortune 500 companies.

Examples of programs Spacecubed facilitates include the She Codes Plus program which enables women to supercharge their tech career with a six-month part time program, and the Plus Eight Accelerator program, where mentoring, seed-funding and support is provided to growing startups, which gives them the building blocks needed for their business to take-off and thrive.

With the collaborative nature of the Western Sydney Startup Hub, both startups and corporations can respond even quicker to market demand, and focus on building a partnership mindset that will drive a healthy ecosystem of fast-growing companies that extends bidirectional benefits across our whole society.

Spacecubed Founder and Managing Director, Brodie McCulloch, said the hub will cement Western Sydney as a top destination for innovation and technology on the global stage.

"The innovation and technology sector is rapidly growing in Sydney and we’re privileged to play a key role in its expansion as part of the WSSH. This is an opportunity to provide amazing facilities and programs to the local community along with hosting a range of activities that will drive collaboration and growth opportunities across the sector. Together with the NSW Government, we will help drive Western Sydney as a competitive place for business investment for forward-thinking innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers,” Mr McCulloch said.
