On Friday 16th September, our awesome community got together, and celebrated Spacecubed’s 4th birthday, and the launch of our latest coworking space, FLUX.

With an attendance of over 230 members and over 40 guests including the Minister for Innovation, Bill Marmion, the FLUX launch showed Perth just how far Spacecubed has come in such a short amount of time.

For the last 4 years, Spacecubed’s community has been paving the way for greater opportunities to network, professionally develop and grow a successful business in Perth. Along with holding continuous weekly events across both FLUX and Spacecubed, there are now greater opportunities to learn, engage and meet in 1 of 14 events and meeting room locations across both spaces.

“We launched Spacecubed 4 years ago with the purpose to provide opportunities and creative spaces for startups, entrepreneurs and those active in the social enterprise space,” Brodie McCulloch said, kickstarting his speech.

“With FLUX open, we are now more equipped to continue our vision, and achieve our goals of supporting local businesses, startups and entrepreneurs, and it’s great to see how our community has expanded, and diversified in such a short space of time,” he continued.

Brodie McCulloch’s

speech followed a great introduction by Master of Ceremonies, Sam Mead of Uproute, and an emotional ‘Welcome to Country’ by Walter McGuire, the brother of Indigenous Artist Barry McGuire who performed Spacecubed’s ‘Welcome to Country’ four years ago.

Networking, community and collaboration

Networking and organised tours of FLUX then took centre stage as the Launch night progressed. If you missed the FLUX launch and are keen to organise a tour of Perth’s latest coworking space, book your tour here today.

“It was a privilege to have seen such a great turnout for the event and to be part of the Spacecubed community. To be surrounded by entrepreneurs and leading thinkers in Perth and Australia is pretty special,” MC Sam Mead from Uproute said.

The FLUX launch event gave reason for the Spacecubed community to engage with one another, and the support was fantastic.
