How did your business journey begin?
My journey actually began around August last year when I helped my father set up a handyman business called NPM Perth as he had lost his job during the heart of COVID-19 here in Perth. The business focuses on Residential Maintenance and has grown nearly continuously every month since inception. The excitement of starting the business with him made me realise that I had extensive transferable skills and if I could help him, why not do it myself. I left my full time role in October 2020 and started working on Rocket Launcher, an all round Marketing Agency helping small to medium business thrust themselves forward.

What are you working on at the moment?
Right now, I am working on Rocket Launcher (Marketing Agency) along with a newly formed business called Rocket Projects, which is focused on assisting in Project Management of Residential Renovations.

What do you love about being a part of the Spacecubed community?
I really love the ability to network and meet other similar, like minded individuals. There are no ego’s, just people with a lot of passion and drive to succeed in their business. Coming from a traditional work office environment to Spacecubed has been a relief, one I am truly grateful for.

Can you share with us one of your favourite success stories?
This would have to be landing our first major rebrand project within the first month of operation along with two retained clients. For a startup to hit the ground running before you have even worked on your own website wireframing was an exciting and welcomed surprise. I am truly grateful to those organisations who have trusted my judgement and abilities without question.

How have you adapted post COVID-19?
COVID-19 has been interesting and has taught me that from a business presence there is no better time to be online and have direct communication with customers. Before COVID-19 some organisations saw the online and marketing space as a luxury however COVID-19 has taught us that it is needed.

For me in particular I have adapted by being extra flexible, planned and focused on different scenarios. Being primarily a Marketing Business which can be done via video calls, phone calls and emails it can feel like business as usual which I know is not the reality for many others.

Overall, COVID-19 has made me appreciate my time more, appreciate my family and have an unwavering determination to make Rocket Launcher a success.
