How did your startup/SME journey begin?
I moved from London to Perth in 2016 and prior to joining Mash Media I had always worked for large marketing agencies. Mash at the time was just starting off and I was part of a very small team of talented people who helped make Mash what it is today.
In contrast to previous working experiences, I really enjoy the flexibility and spontaneity that comes with working in a smaller structure such as a startup/SME.
2. What are you working on at the moment?
I am a SEO manager and in charge of researching and developing SEO strategies for a wide range of brands and industries. Day to day, I’m generally working with web developers, copy writers and colleagues to deliver organic performance and help our clients reach their website objectives.
3. What do you love about being a part of the Spacecubed community?
Riff is a great place to connect and see “real people”. I work remotely for Mash Media which is located in Sydney so when I’m not working from home it’s nice to come into the office and feel part of the community. I also love the fact that every week there is so much happening for the members such as events and get togethers. I found these great for breaking up my routine and keep learning new things.
4. Can you share with us one of your favourite success stories?
Clients are always impressed by the space when they come visit. They love the working environment as it looks fun and professional. I’ve always had interesting meetings here so I guess that’s a great success in itself!
5. What do you hope to achieve in 2019?
This year, I’m hoping to connect with more fellow SEOs in the community and keep exciting projects coming.
